The "Deutschland-Stipendium" is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Since the summer semester of 2011, it has been supporting students whose backgrounds indicate outstanding achievements in their studies and careers. They receive 300 euros per month - half from the Federal Government and the other half from private donors. These are, for example, companies that want to support young talent. The concept of achievement on which the scholarship is based is deliberately broad: Good grades and academic achievements are just as much a part of it as the willingness to take on responsibility or the successful mastering of obstacles in one's own life and educational path. The scholarship holders receive the income-independent grant for at least two semesters and at most until the end of the standard period of study. This enables them to successfully concentrate on their higher education.
Financial injection - no strings attached
This year, dacoso is once again providing financial assistance to two students at the TU Darmstadt. "Especially now, when part-time jobs are hardly possible, many are at the limit," says our HR Manager Ricccarda Swidersky. "We are happy to be able to make life a little easier for the two students from the departments of computer science and electrical/information technology." The TU Darmstadt pre-selects candidates among its students, from which companies can then choose their protégés. The support is not tied to any conditions. "However, if requested, we are very happy to help, for example in arranging internships - whether with us or with partners and customers," explains Riccardas Swidersky. "For us, the scholarships are simply a nice way to invest in the young talent of tomorrow."
