dacoso at the SQuaD workshop
At the SQuaD workshop in Munich, our colleague Dr. Thomas Lebeth (center) was able to contribute his expertise in the field of quantum-secure network encryption. In a short presentation and as a committed participant in the panel discussion, Thomas highlighted our experiences and the expectations that companies and authorities have of securing their networks with quantum key distribution (QKD): What further evolutionary steps are necessary to secure networks cost-effectively so that hackers don't stand a chance despite the use of quantum computers?
The new possibilities, but also the challenges of quantum communication, were the topic of the three-day workshop organized by the SQuaD network. Around 80 participants gathered on the campus of the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich-Neubiberg to exchange information and engage in lively discussions.
dacoso has been working on the topic of "quantum-safe encryption" for several years because, as a provider of high-availability, optical site connections, we also want to ensure the future security of our customers' data communication. In addition to our involvement in the SQuaD network, we are also involved in the EU QCI projects SEQRET and QCI-CAT as well as within the QuNET+ initiative as part of the ISQKMS project.
