Making quantum technology widely usable
The QuNET initiative is working on the development of highly secure communication systems based on state-of-the-art quantum technology. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), QuNET lays the foundation for IT networks that protect against tomorrow's cyber threats today. The partners involved include the Fraunhofer and Max Planck Societies, the German Aerospace Center and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Subproject QuNET+ISQKMS
Together with several companies and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, we are working on the development of an interoperable secure quantum key management system (QKMS). We are contributing our experience from customer projects: What should the security architecture, interfaces and implementation look like? The aim is to make the QKMS robust and as easy to use as possible.
